Why we exist
Sending money home isn't enough to know what becomes of it.
When you live far away, you eventually hand an errand to someone close: check on land, take a parent to the doctor, collect a document, follow a building site. They do their best — but they're overwhelmed, they're not neutral, and they have neither the time nor the will to document everything. Misunderstandings set in, trust wears thin.
Engago Bled came out of one simple observation: the diaspora doesn't need to send more money. It needs proof — dated, opposable, done by someone whose job it is and who has no personal stake in the matter.
How we work
Three principles, never negotiated.

- Recruited by referral, never through a job posting. Each one is verified by the founder before being entrusted with a mission.
- Your money protected
- You pay Engago Bled, not the Local. We only pay them after you approve — otherwise, you're refunded.
- Proof every time
- Dated photos, video, a written report. Reviewed before they reach you, whatever the news.

Our ambition
We start in Ouagadougou. We think further.
The need we address — being well represented back home when you live elsewhere — isn't unique to Burkina Faso: it's shared by the whole African diaspora. In time, we want to be that trusted link wherever it's needed.
But we'll never claim to operate where we don't yet have a verified Local. Today, that's Ouagadougou and its surroundings, full stop — because proof is only worth something if the person bringing it back is truly on the ground. We'll expand city by city, only when we can keep the same promise there.
